C: Okay Darlings
star time it is. We would like to welcome on stage Mister Rosellini
Valiente Mirosa Vaughn Davis. (applause) Hello Mister Davis.
D: Hello Doctor
Chocolate. It is good to be here.
C: Yes here is a
good place to be.
D: Indeed I
agree, of all the places to be, here is certainly a good one.
C: Well then, I
guess that leads to my first question, what's you're favorite part
about being here?
D: Well I'd have
to say it is the smile I see on your face.
C: Ladies and
gentlemen, do you hear this man? The smile on my face. What kind of
citizen are you?
D: I'm the type
of citizen who is synthesizing a great deal of information, in
different quantities. There is a tremendous amount of math to do in
everyday existence.
C: We didn't come
here to talk about math. Do you mind if I talk about something else?
D: Well you can
talk about something else but I'll probably still be talking about
math.
C: Perfect! I
heard something about your mother. Is she living with you?
D: No, we found
her a cottage. She was living with me, it was very good for our
health, I mean there is something between us, a good sync. I mean we
know each other well. We are well accustomed to one another. A lot of
information I process has to do with her. She is this classification
of figures. She is a data set. It rests at the foundation of my basic
processes.
C: And well I
heard that you did something special for her birthday.
D: That is
incorrect, we did not celebrate her birthday.
C: Well I heard,
you went to that restaurant.
D: Oh yes, We
went to a strange restaurant and ate strange foods, bland in a way,
not transporting, I just you, know, sometimes see the lights in a
different way. There is a way out of here into the stage above. I
feel like I am figuring it out.
C: Oh is that so?
D: Yes, I am
conducting very important research on transcendence. Can you deal
with the fact of computers? That something like this will be here
forever. That there is a new type of work that everyone can do. I
think I see a way to transform this world. I am working on it.
C: Is it
something you can hold?
D: I am working
deep in the source code and looking at information in different ways.
I am struggling to change the story. I guess I am starting with the
end, but then I always work on the beginning and the middle, the
middle seems to go on forever. I can write the middle all day. In
fact most of it is the middle. That's the heart. You can't trust
beginnings or endings. I would like a few different beginnings
converging on the same middle. You understand I have to say these
things as they come to me. I have forgotten nearly everything.
C: What did you
forget?
D: I didn't
forget, I am just too busy to remember. It is good to forget to
remember. There are some times I would like to have go longer. I
would like to adjust my heart rate. I would like to be able to think
more quickly. I guess I am lucky that I basically think as fast as I
talk except I never have to pause for breaths. And that is the thing
I want to stress. It is okay to talk slowly and it is okay to repeat
yourself.
C: Okay, I'll
take your advice. What do I say?
D: I assumed that
you were going to repeat yourself, but I guess it is okay to move on
to. I feel alright about the passing of time. What I find in my
travels is that the world grows more wonderous with age. How many
lifetimes have I already lived? I move quickly it is true. I wonder
how old I am. I have had many estimates. I mean, the number is always
growing so it is meaningless. I suppose the answer could be given as
a range of numbers that would be valid ages for a certain period of
time but lo! That list would be infinite. I suppose I can imagine
this list growing, but it is not something I would get a tattoo of.
C: Oh I do love
tattoos, do you have any?
D: I do not. It
is my hope to be able to shift my shape. I am working on techniques
to mask myself completely, take on the appearance of someone else. A
tattoo would give away my disguise. It may come to the day where I
become someone else permanently. I may be back later, I don't know.
This body has treated me well.
C: Very well
indeed. I hear you are up for some awards.
D: Yes, I have a
lot of dreams that take place at awards shows so I am excited to be
there. Something strange might happen.
C: You're always
searching for curiosities, aren't you?
D: It is true
that I am taking part in a vast index. I am encountering information
and undergoing processes. There is a lot to calculate it but I think
I could answer everything.
C: Answer
everything? Answer this first: Where'd you get those shoes?
D: I appreciate
your humor Doctor Chocolate. I don't know how deep of an answer you
want. Do you want to know where I learned to appreciate this style. I
could spend all day answering this question.
C: Oh well please
do, where did you get those shoes?
D: Well for me, I
am into materials. I like the things things are made from. I think
leather is a wonderful material. I mean it is real thick skin. It
comes from an animal. Leather is so great. But right, there are other
interesting materials. I mean, I know I want leather involved, but
maybe there could be some silk. I mean, silk is another animal
product. Animals makes it and it is wonderful. Everything can tell
that silk is nice. You bring a silk pillow into a room, even the
floor will be like, hey what is that? Put that on me. But the couch
will be like, ah, silk, how I want to touch you. I will touch you so gently. Will will observe good times together. Me and you silk. And
I'm probably the one who enjoys the silk the most and the room likes it because the room really exists for me and they know it, I mean
they are in support of me. They are really so devoted. They will be
here for me. I mean, could they do more, yes, but they don't know how. We
got to build a computer into the floor, have a smart floor. I wouldn't
mind these kinds of additions to my lifestyle. In fact I can't do
without them.
C: Oh honey, that
was wonderful but you were supposed to talk about the shoes.
D: Look, I'm
sorry, but I have a process, it is just how I work. I really don't
know how to answer questions at all.
C: It's okay I am
a forgiving host.
D: I will try to
overlook this.
C: Over look, oh
honey, you're tripping.
D: Oh you know I
am.
C: Okay honey, I
will be more gentle with you.
D: Thank you. I
would appreciate that Doctor Chocolate.
C: You know I'm
your doctor, I'm going to help you in all kinds of ways. Help you get
better.
D: Yes Doctor
Chocolate, I am feeling rather ill, everything is melting.
C: That can be a
normal experience. I don't think it puts you in any kind of danger.
But you do know what it means right?
D: I have a
secret.
C: And you should
cherish this secret.
D: It is my
secret and I should guard it.
C: You don't have
to guard your secret too tightly. It is a surprising secret. Most
people wouldn't believe if you told them.
D: That is a good
way of putting it Doctor Chocolate. Have you observed the recent
transit of Mercury?
C: The stars are
pulling you in different directions. I think you have to let it out.
D: Yes Doctor
Chocolate, I have been repressing a lot of things recently.
C: That is
surprising to hear.
D: There is just
too much to say Doctor Chocolate.
C: You can tell
me anything you like.
D: Are you sure?
C: I mean, this
is my show, I run it, but I only have it so that you can be on it.
D: So I want to
see what I have to say?
C: Yes, you may
say whatever you like.
D: Are you just
know deciding this because it seemed like earlier you were trying to
make me talk about certain things.
C: I am sorry
Mister Rosellini Valiente Mirosa Vaughn Davis. This is not my show.
This is your show.
D: Do you mean
it?
C: I'm not sure,
I might not. I want to help you feel comfortable but there are
certain ways I want myself to feel. I feel like I have to hold on to
something. I am holding onto my ego. I need to validate myself. I
need to hold on to myself. This is my show and this is the source of
my power. I am not just a body who can survive on his own. I need
structures to maintain myself living on. Do you understand me Mister
Rosellini Valiente Mirosa Vaughn Davis?
D: Yes Doctor
Chocolate. I can see a way where I could be comfortable on your show
while honoring your role as host.
C: Well isn't
that great? That is what I was hoping for. Well actually I didn't
foresee a single thing about this conversation. Like most things I
thought it would work out fine. I can't seem to do anything in
advance. It gives me a lot of dead-time. I really need to find a better
way to live my life. I know I am a doctor. But I suppose I could use
some help from you Mister Rosellini Valiente Mirosa Vaughn Davis.
D: Yes, we could
help each other.
C: Well what do
you suggest?
D: I suggest
using a computer. They are amazing inventions. I use them for all
sorts of things, but mostly reading and writing. People are a great
source of literature.
C: Thank you
Mister Rosellini Valiente Mirosa Vaughn Davis. That was good advice.
So specific.
D: Yes
specificity is my specialty.
C: Well thank
you. Is there anything I could help you with? You maybe had something
on your mind you wanted to share.
D: There was just
this time when I was still a child. I mean I saw the world
differently. I mean, I remember how everything looked. I was seeing
through this fog. I was wandering among the trees sensing the moods
they were giving us. All the trees seemed to have their own
personality. But then I came across one tree that seems to know it
all. I looked at its bark and it described a scene. It was an epic
battle between forces. It seemed like written on the skin of this
true was the scene of a meeting between all of creation, when they
first gathered to make of go of life and existence. The tree was
thick and fairly short but it covered a wide expanse of area. It was
marvelously beautiful. It was well organized. It looked strong, in
good proportions. I saw this tree and I felt tired and I laid
underneath the tree and immediately was carried off. I was In this
other forest, or maybe the same forest and I said where am I? And an
old warrior stepped out and said you are where destinies meets. Then
the birds flew close to my head and whispered in my ear. They said
the frogman was waiting for me. I said what is going on? I was like,
what is this, this is amazing. The warrior says, keep asking
questions, stay afloat, it is very important that you be here. I
started chasing a squirrel and then suddenly I was in a clearing.
There were Three suns in the sky and they were swirling around. The
clearing was filled with representatives of all the animals and they
were all watching the sky. There was something happening up there. It
looked like there were three suns and they were fighting. I remember
thinking that one of the suns was good. I mean One was Yellow, one
was red and one was blue. They would start to melt together and then
break off again. The light when we looked around was strange. You
couldn't predict who would look yellow, who would look red, who would
look blue. We understood that something important was happening.
Hours must have passed. I remember thinking that it had changed my
soul. I felt like so many things happened to me while I stared
directly into the Suns. I had observed everything there was to see. A
direct metaphysical phenomenon. It changed everything about me. Near
the end, I saw among the animals the tree. The one I feel asleep
under. I walked up to the tree and saw myself laying there sleeping.
I crawled into my body and I immediately awoke. I gasped and said oh
my god. Where was I? I must have been somewhere else. Where did I go?
I want to know what you think of my story Doctor Chocolate.
C: That was an
amazing story. I think you witnessed something real. I think that
really happened and you were there. I think it may have happened in
the past far far back in the past, or maybe it hasn't happened yet,
or maybe it happened in another dimension. Yes. It was very important
that you come here and share your experience.
D: Yes It was a
delight being here Doctor Chocolate.
C: Yes, we'll be
sure to have you back soon. You've been wonderful Mister Rosellini
Valiente Mirosa Vaughn Davis. We'll be back with my guest Liverest
Van Thimblestroke. Stay tuned.
